A Brief Guide for Users of BOOMERANG Cables
- Any slight cosmetic imperfection visible on BOOMERANG cables does not constitute a defect, but rather a plus point; in as much as it shows them to be crafted by an artisan.
- All materials used in the construction of BOOMERANG cables are of professional grade.
- BOOMERANG cables are manufactured from 24 AWG pure solid copper, according to a unique geometry.
- The RCA connectors of line-level BOOMERANG interconnects are silver-plated; those used to connect a turntable to phono sockets are gold-plated, unless requested otherwise.
- BOOMERANG speaker cables are terminated in professional-grade banana plugs or spade connectors, manufactured in pure copper and treated against oxidation.
- BOOMERANG cables are directional. To achieve the correct connection therefore, it is necessary to observe the direction indicated by the arrows on the labels.
- BOOMERANG cables improve over a certain period of usage. With the passing of time, the already high performance will rise to the level of excellence.
- We would point out that among BOOMERANG cables, the power leads require a slightly longer time to reach their optimum effectiveness.
- BOOMERANG cables should not be subjected to any kind of stress: once the connections have been made it is better to leave them alone, as far as possible.
- Even though BOOMERANG cables are sufficiently flexible, they are structurally rigid; any curvature in the cable should be broad and smooth. They should in no instance, whatsoever, be folded into a sharp bend of 90°.
- BOOMERANG signal and speaker cables should never be twisted, rolled up into a spiral or wrapped into a circle because this would generate an inductance around them, which would jeopardise their performance.
- All BOOMERANG cables come furnished with seals; any likely damage caused by an attempt at opening a seal voids the guarantee.
- BOOMERANG power leads must never ever be stretched, wrenched, twisted, flexed, tampered with, cut or short-circuited, which would hazard, not only the voiding of the guarantee, but also damage to the leads themselves and any equipment connected to them.
A tip on how to appreciate fully the superior quality of BOOMERANG cables:
Having connected your BOOMERANG cables, first of all repeat-play a track from a burning-in CD (e.g. XLO Test or Densen Magic) for some time on your HiFi installation. Then, try to avoid using your HiFi for a couple of days: this will serve to defamiliarise yourself with the sound that had been your reference before installing the BOOMERANG cables. After which, you recommence using your set-up and continue so for a few days. At this point, disconnect the BOOMERANG cables and reconnect those you were using before: needless to say, you will immediately realise what a profound difference there is between an ordinary cable and a BOOMERANG cable.
